Denise was driven by the spirit of God, which gave her the unction to respond to the violence suffered by black children, teenagers and young adults. While socially conscious citizens from the nation’s streets and communities are rallying for the cause of 'Black Lives Matter', Denise is voicing her concerns through the spoken word of poetry

BLACK by Denise Paulette Isaac is intended to assist in minimizing the stereotypical behaviors, hate, disrespect, rejection, denial, and misunderstandings that some people have concerning Black children and to understand the things that they so often encounter. Her poetry speaks to the children about who they are and gives them a platform to build their self-esteem and confidence by reading and reciting verses such as:
There’s NO SHAME in being BLACK
BLACK is one of the first colors that artists decided to use in art and their masterpieces
BLACK is a color that can be mixed with other colors to enhance and change them
BLACK is the combination of all other colors and races including white and being without color
BLACK is versatile, accommodating, flexible, rewarding, necessary, and enduring

Although the murders of innocent Black children have been going on for centuries, 2014 and 2015 were years that saw profound injustice, and extraordinary resilience. Homicides at the hands of police sparked massive protests, meaning that America could no longer ignore bitter truths of the Black experience. Gains have been made, but those of us who believe in freedom know we cannot rest until justice is won. This country must abandon the lie that the deep psychological wounds of slavery, racism and structural oppression are figments of the Black imagination. The time to address these wounds is now. Black lives will be valued, protected, and free.

Denise P. Isaac was drawn in and was able to empathize with the 'Black Lives Matter' movement. She took pen in hand and captured her emotions for the world to see. Hoping to influence the generations of young people by speaking the truth about who they really are, Denise, has written a brilliant book of poetry called BLACK, tailored to Empower, Encourage, Inspire, Educate, Uplift and Enlighten Black children for a lifetime, BLACK is a tool that belongs in every home in America.

Much of Denise P. Isaac's poetry is based on the real life struggles and negative encounters experienced by Black children and their families and Denise has voiced it in a way that gives hope, vibrancy, clarity and realism to those who listen, read and shout out loud......I AM BLACK PROUD AND AMAZING!

Denise Paulette Isaac is a real and true believer in the truth and a devout Christian. She is a serious, no nonsense, woman of integrity, compassion, and dedication to the causes she’s committed to. Denise is the proud mother of 3 daughters Latressa, April and Lucinda. She is an Apostle in the Christian faith, who has pastored a local church, All That God Is International Ministries and Outreach Centers, Inc. for 8 years until the Pastoral mantle was passed to her youngest daughter Lucinda. She is a spiritual mentor who has and continues to groom and empower both men and women, young and old, to be effective leaders of excellence and integrity in our society.

Denise is a Poet who won her first award in the sixth grade, placing 2nd for her poem, at Phyllis Wheatley Elementary School, in Miami, Florida. She wrote several articles for The Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus school’s newspaper The Reporter and has received numerous accolades and awards for her life's work.One of her poems "Unexpected Aggravation", was selected to be published in the Miami Dade College exclusive magazine, The Metamorphosis XXVII Edition 2014. Denise is also a Songwriter and Producer of many songs, including: Into His Presence (song by Clovette Danzy), Yo It’s Stupid, and Daddy Drama. Ms.Betty Wright gave Denise the honor of singing background on Michael Jackson's song, "We've Had Enough" which was recorded in Miami Florida. Denise is also the author of Show Me a Family.
